A sequel film which was not based on the original manga, Conqueror of Shamballa, was released in 2005.įollowing the expiring of their license, and the transfer of the Fullmetal Alchemist anime rights to Aniplex's American branch, Funimation no longer has the rights to the FMA 2003 anime. Sorry for the comment which may not be that relevant to the current thread.but I thought I might as well explain a bit why I have certain views on dubbing why I made the post like that ( altough, it was also intended as a pun originally).Fullmetal Alchemist ( Japanese: 鋼の錬金術師 Hepburn: Hagane no Renkinjutsushi) is a loose anime adaptation of the manga of the same name by Hiromu Arakawa. Not claiming that the english voice actors aren't talented.but I believe that some things should be treasured and preserved a bit more. Now.if the original anime didn't feel the need to write that song in japanese like the vast majority of OSTs with a few other exceptions, why would we dub it into english in the first place. I may try to accept dubbing to a certain extent.although I don't lol.But what was a bit interesting was the fact that the song's lyrics were in russian, a japanese anime made a song in russian when they could've had done it in their native language.but they didn't and I suspect they had certain reasons for choosing russian. Some songs really hit me and I was searching for them in order to save them when I found "Brothers".but not my "Brothers" but a dubbed version by Edward's voice actor. Hehe, I was a bit ticked off when I happened to stumble upon a certain dubbed song while I was binging the series.
